About TimeKit
TimeKit is a free set of time and date tools built for anyone who needs quick, reliable answers to everyday time questions β without signing up, paying, or handing over personal data.
Why We Built This
Time and date calculations come up constantly β figuring out how many days until a deadline, converting time zones for an international call, calculating how many hours you worked this week, or simply wondering how old you are to the day.
Most tools that handle these questions are buried inside large productivity apps, require a login, push you toward a paid plan, or are cluttered with ads and pop-ups that make simple tasks frustrating. We built TimeKit to be the opposite: fast, clean, and genuinely free.
The site was built by a team of developers and designers who found themselves reaching for a simple time tool multiple times a week and getting frustrated with what was available. TimeKit is what we wished existed.
The Tools
TimeKit currently offers five core tools and a growing library of guides covering common time and date questions:
Who Uses TimeKit
TimeKit is used by people across more than 30 countries. Our most common use cases are:
- Remote workers and freelancers β scheduling calls across time zones, calculating work hours for invoicing
- Students β counting days until exams, assignment deadlines, and results dates
- HR and payroll teams β calculating working days in a month, date differences for notice periods
- Families and event planners β countdown timers for weddings, birthdays, travel departures
- Finance and legal professionals β exact day counts for contract terms, visa validity, loan periods
How the Site Works
All calculations run in your browser using JavaScript. When you enter a date or time into any TimeKit tool, the calculation happens locally on your device β nothing is sent to our servers, no data is logged, and no cookies are set beyond what is required for basic site functionality.
The site is hosted on Netlify and served over HTTPS. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (page views, countries, device types) β no personally identifiable information is collected or stored.
Advertising is provided by Google AdSense. Ads help keep all tools free for everyone. You can read our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is and is not collected.
Accuracy and Limitations
TimeKit's calculations follow standard calendar rules β the Gregorian calendar, UTC-based time zones, and known Daylight Saving Time schedules for major cities. Leap years are handled automatically. Time zone data is updated periodically but may not reflect very recent government changes to DST rules in edge-case jurisdictions.
The tools are designed for everyday practical use β scheduling, planning, and general reference. For legal, medical, or financial calculations where precision is critical, always verify with a qualified professional.
